Executive Director (in-waiting)

Do you have a passion to serve the underserved in our community in the name of Jesus? Do you want to lead an organization that fights against poverty on a daily basis? If so, then Westminster Community Center might be a good fit for you.

We are looking for an executive director in-waiting with a start date of Fall 2022. The successful candidate will work alongside our current director through our busiest time of the year, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and then take over when he retires in Spring 2023.

General requirements of the job

Preferably a master’s degree in divinity, social services, or a related field. Applicants with relevant educational experience or real-life experience are encouraged to apply.

Prefer 5-10 years of significant experience in nonprofit administration. Responsibilities will include fundraising, grant writing, operation of programs, public speaking, and agency administration.

As we are a Christian organization, our director interacts with clients and helps meet their physical, social, financial, and spiritual needs. This is a hands-on, direct contact position.

Ability to lift and move 50 pounds (filling food baskets, loading and unloading food). Ability to help maintain our 50+ residential lots.

Experience with digital and traditional marketing and social media is a plus.

Must live in the Henry County community (or be willing to relocate to Henry County)

Compensation and next steps

The total compensation package will range from $40,000 to $60,000, including health insurance.
